Leigh Perica
Leigh Perica joined the Mahoney Law firm in 2024 after practicing at a national plaintiff’s firm where she represented plaintiffs in class actions, anti-trust matters, and commercial litigation. She has been recognized as a Super Lawyers “Rising Star” for 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024. Prior to her career in litigation, Leigh served as a law clerk to Hon. David R. Herndon of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Illinois for four years where she worked on a wide variety of civil and criminal cases, including discrimination, sexual harassment, and sexual assault cases.
Leigh grew up in Edwardsville, Illinois and followed in her father’s footsteps in becoming a plaintiff’s attorney in the area. It was instilled in her from the start to offer unwavering support to clients and advocate on their behalves in obtaining positive results following life-altering events and injuries.
Prior to her federal clerkship, Leigh earned her J.D. at the University of Kentucky College of Law, where she served as President of the Moot Court Board and as a member of the Moot Court National Competition Team.
Outside of work, Leigh serves as the co-chair for the Humane Society of Missouri’s Women’s Leadership Counsel and serves as a member of both of its Executive and Steering Committees. She also serves on the Executive Boards for the Madsion County Bar Association and the Southern District of Illinois Federal Bar Association. In her free time, Leigh loves attending St. Louis sporting events, traveling, and spending time with her family.
